kelsey & jesse’s documentary engagement session at neck point park, nanaimo on stunning vancouver island
i had such a blast collaborating with kelsey & jesse on their engagement photos. They walked on the ferry from vancouver, i picked them up in westy & we headed to neck point park. It’s truly gorgeous there. A photo everywhere you look. They said they were nervous about being photographed at their upcoming wedding & wanted to do an engagement session to getView full post »
2017 is coming to a close & on this shortest day of the year (happy solstice!), i thought i would take a few moments to reflect on some of the love & wonder i’ve been working on this fall season.
however you celebrate, wishing you & yours a happy holiday season. And a sweet slide back into the light & wonder of a new year.
here’s to 2018!View full post »
vancouver island bc engagement – a session with alana & andrew at the oh-so-lovely neck point park in nanaimo.
i first met alana & andrew on a hot summer’s day in tsawassen to chat about all-things-wedding-&-photo. A bird pooped on me during our meeting on an outdoor patio. And alana, not fazed at all, took my napkin & cleaned up the offering on the back of my shirt. Having a client who’s a nurse can be a real bonus. I took the pooping as a sign of good things toView full post »
hornby island engagement
jason has a long history on hornby island. He has family here & it’s been a big part of his life throughout the years. And in the last years, he & kimberley have made it a big part of their relationship. And it was in the sandstone caves at fords cove that he proposed to her. And so kimberley wanted to have their engagement session there. A sweet time to celebrate the beginning of their journey into marriage, wrapped in the place that means so much toView full post »
for me, it doesn’t get much more lovely than this… 2 of the sweetest people, one of the most beautiful locations, a whole lot of love, first growth forest, late evening light & the warm summer sun setting over it all. All around goodness.
farrah & evan, i wish you both the very best journey into marriage. Hang on, for what i’m sure will be an incredible ride.

i had such a blast stepping out of my island environment & photographing heather & luke on burnaby mountain in vancouver – an amazing backdrop for their engagement photos. And such a great choice… they met there at simon fraser university as undergrads, fell in love & have been wandering together through med school & beyond ever since. And i couldn’t be more excited about their late summer wedding at the gorgeous black rock resort in ucluelet.

i first met jenn & doug in vancouver & had a great time finding out about their lives together, their hikes & travels far from the madding crowds & their plans for their upcoming summer wedding at comox lake. A couple of weeks ago, we met up for their engagement celebration session in seal bay provincial park in comox, had a walk amongst the trees & then headed off to explore the coast. I had so.much.fun. And am uber excited for their july wedding.

meet julia & steve & their oh-so-delightful fur friend maggie. It has been said you can tell a lot about people by their pets. And if that’s true, julia & steve are exceptionally smart, fast, a little silly, full of energy, spirited, well groomed, gorgeous & as sweet as can be. I don’t know if dogs can be funny but julia & steve are that, too. It was an awesome way to spend an afternoon in vancouver… hearing about their story, their summer wedding dayView full post »

getting to photograph cindy & joe is like winning the photo lottery. All good. They are fun & sweet & caring, madly in love, a complete joy to be around, creative, silly, up for anything, & did i mention madly in love? We started at iona park in richmond (a quiet hidden gem full of delights) & then joe wove us through vancouver just in time to capture the sun setting at whytecliffe park. Two fabulous locations, 2 different cities, a big fire under our butts & lots ofView full post »
