one of the greatest gifts there can be is the opportunity to stand back & watch our kids marry someone wonderful. This post is a sweet celebration of just that.
eight years ago, midori & ryan crossed paths, for a few sweet weeks, before she headed back home to japan. And their dance began. And it’s been a joy watching them find their way through the years, through different countries, different homes, changing careers paths, directions, hopes & dreams. To watch them settle into one another with love & support & such tender caring. They started their little family with their fur friend, nora, & are awaiting the arrival of their first baby coming in the new year. They came to hornby, where ryan spent much of his childhood, & gathered their dearest friends & their local family to walk together into the rest of their lives, as husband & wife. It was a sweet, simple, perfectly wonderful celebration. I put my camera down a lot, just to be swept along in it all. And took it out from time to time to capture some of their shared moments.
ryan & midori, heartfelt congratulations on this new chapter in your journey together. Your union, your commitment, your delight & love & caring are beautiful to witness. And we couldn’t be happier for you both. And for that dear little coming to join you in your dance. And midori, thank you. Thank you for helping ryan shine in such a beautiful way. We are blessed to have you in our family & are all the richer for it. xoxo
4 years ago, ryan’s sister francesca was married in the dominican republic. Another sweet intimate gathering, another joyful union. You can see frannie & dan’s walk into marriage here.
