i’ve done this every year for the last few years… taken the time, early in the new year, to look back through the weddings i photographed the year before. And what strikes me most, year after year, is how absolutely grateful i am to the people who trust me to capture their wedding day in photographs. Who open their hearts & share their love & anticipation, kindness & caring, their friends & family, great food, fantastic dance moves, hilarious, heartfelt speeches, tender moments & tears, their amazing story with me.
to each of my clients from 2013, i am deeply touched & totally blown away by your willingness to have me there, alongside those who know you best, while you promised your lives to one another. It is an incredible gift to get to bare witness to such moments of grace, honesty, faith & commitment. And all the wonder, joy & delight that comes along with it. My life is all the richer for it. My heart that much fuller. My belief in marriage, in our willingness to promise our lives to one another, swept up in the love we feel right now, not knowing what lies ahead, gets stronger year after year. Come what may, your love & commitment helps strengthen mine. And for that, for all of this, i am truly, humbly, incredibly grateful.
