it was the end of summer. I met with lea & andrew the day before their wedding to walk through the details & timing of their day. And it was pouring. West coast, soaked through, down pour kind of pouring. And they were calling for more of the same for the next day. It felt right, in a way, these two so used to being outdoors, in the elements – skiers, mountain bikers, outdoor adventurers. And it had rained at our engagement session (you can see that loveliness here). So all was well. I loaded umbrellas into my van, extra clothes, rubber boots & had some new ideas for shooting in the rain. And then the morning brought a sunrise. And blue skies. And the sun shone brightly all day long. And so did lea & andrew & their family & friends. Brightening under the influence of all that unexpected vitamin d. And a very healthy dose of love.
married at the hornby island outdoor education centre, where their journey together began, a walk out to helliwell park with their wedding party & then their celebration culminated with a reception at the ever fabulous seabreeze lodge. And so much love & laughs shared along the way.
