the last days of august brought the heat of summer, warm evenings, the gorgeous glow of the falling sun, long dry grass, sun tans & loads of sweet summer memories already being stored away for the winter ahead. I spent one late afternoon with cameron, marian, emma & hannah, oh & sunny, of course, just before they began packing up their summer home & heading off to adventures in calgary & london. Big shifts. Grand changes. As happens as our kids grow up & discover their own journeys in the world. It was a delightful couple of hours spent wandering in the long grass below their home, through the oak grove & the steep descent to the sandstone beach below to watch sunny catch starfish.
