thea & brian were married at the fabulous seabreeze lodge on hornby island. Thea spent her childhood summers on hornby at her family’s beautiful ocean front home (where she & her girls got ready) & she & brian wanted their wedding day to reflect her connection with the beauty & ease of hornby. And the folks at seabreeze are easy-going at it’s best & the site is gorgeous – sweeping lawns, a ceremony site by the ocean, sandstone beaches, gorgeous gardens & a beautiful dining room with windows overlooking it all.
i met thea & brian again the day before their big day, in the rain, & we talked through all the alternatives should the forecast come true & it rain on their day. You can tell a lot about a couple by the way they handle unexpected weather on their wedding day. And thea & brian had a go-with-the-flow ease & grace about it all that was a delight to behold. And the next day came & the sun shone bright & warm. As did their day. Family & friends gathered from as far away as ireland & the party went on into the wee hours of the night. There was a lot of love shared that day, a lot of joy & happiness & so much to celebrate.
